ATA Earthdog Tests

This past weekend (Aug. 2 & 3) The Atlantic Terrier Association’s Earthdog Trials took place at the property of Brian and Jeanette Graves in St. Croix, Nova Scotia.

The weather held out for us and it didn’t rain until all the tests were done each day!  We had two fantastic judges from the US who we learned a great deal from.  The judges (Lou Herczeg and Joe Mazur) took lots of time with the Introduction to Quarry dogs making sure each dog went away with a positive experience and also learned something.  The dogs entered in Junior, Senior and Master Earthdog had a great time too with a few dogs getting their titles and more qualifying.  Master Earthdog tests were a first here in Nova Scotia and are quite difficult to qualify in.  One dog was successful however!!
