| I grew up owning an Australian Cattle Dog of working lines which started my interest in the canine world. I began showing dogs in 1997; my first show breed which is still my focus is the Keeshond. Since then, I have also shown and bred Champion Boxers and Whippets (and sparingly shown Hungarian Vizsla’s, Dalmatians and German Spitz). I have also handled many other breeds in all groups over the years. I have bred and/or owned and titled over 80 Keeshonds to Champion, Grand Champion and Supreme Champions in the USA, Canada, UK, NZ and Australia - most with multi-BIS, BIG and BISS show wins. In Boxers the same can be said for 8 of the breed and 2 in Whippets. Formerly breeding under the Calivale prefix and now Hunkeedori Keeshonds, I have been Australia's # 1 Keeshond breeder and exhibitor for many years. Over the years, I have been fortunate to attend, judge and handle at dog shows in many countries of the world. In 2005 I commenced judging with the Non-Sporting Group. I have judged in both the all breeds and specialty show rings including the German Shepherd specialty ring. I completed my judges training to become all breeds in May 2014 with the completion of the Gundog Group. I have judged many breeds, groups and BIS across Australia and in New Zealand, Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, The Philippines, China, Taiwan, Japan, Finland and the USA. In recent times I have given several breed lectures to trainee judges on a number of breeds, including Keeshonds, and in 2013 judged part of Keeshond National Specialty week in the USA. |
