| Brett Hamilton is a second-generation Afghan hound breeder born in Melbourne, Australia. His parents, Colin
and Helen Hamilton of 'Kjavu' Kennels in Australia, have been breeding top-quality Afghan Hounds for four
decades. Together with his parents, they have bred, owned, and shown well over 100 champions, winning
over 150 all-breed Best in Shows and multiple all-breed top dog of the year awards in Australia. As a teenager, Brett began his judging career, and at just 21 years of age, he became one of the youngest judges ever in Australia to be licensed for the entire Hound Group. In addition to judging in Australia, Brett has judged throughout the USA and Europe. His first judicial task in America was in 2009, making him the youngest judge in AKC's history to judge the Hound group at 21 years of age. In 2017, Brett was granted permanent residency to live in Sweden and has now had his Australian (ANKC) judging license transferred over to the Swedish Kennel Club. More recently Brett, with his fiancée Camilla Tell-Collinge, has had great success exhibiting/breeding with the combination of both families’ kennels, Tells & Kjavu, producing multiple BIS/SBIS winning Champions, including Norway's Top Dog All Breeds (2023). |
