|Joseph E. Gregory, of Louisville, Kentucky, has been a member of the dog fancy since soon after his high-school graduation in the late l940's.
After establishing Cloverdown Kennels with his boyhood friend Burr Long, their first success came with breeding Boxers, including BIS Ch. Truce Talk of Cloverdown, handled by the late Phil Marsh.
As a professional handler, Mr. Gregory cites among his many top dogs Ch. Treceder's Painted Lady (Westminster Working Group Winner, 1963 and 1964), who retired as the top-winning Boxer bitch of all time.
Mr. Gregory has been an AKC judge since 1965 and received "all-rounder" status in 1993. He has judged in many countries throughout the years, was voted Judge of the Year by Iam-Kennel Review and has judged Top 20 competitions in several breeds.
He is a lifetime member of the American Boxer Club, Louisville Kennel Club, Santa Barbara Kennel Club and Morris and Essex respectfully.
