Biography

Harto Stockmari began breeding Australian Terriers in 1969 under his prefix Sassatown. He also breeds Deerhound and Poodles and has experience with Cairn Terrier, Irish wolfhound, Pekingese, Pomeranians, Shar Pei, and Finnish Lapphund over the past four decades. His first Best In Show winning Australian Terrier was in Finland, FIN & NOR CH Taralee Bobby Dazzler (Aust imp) in 1980´s. In 2009 he sent Stranger´s Blue Buick to Australia. He came back one year later as Aust Ch and is also CIB & Aust & Fin & Multi CH with 15 titles. Buick was the first European import to receive the title AUST CH in the country of origin. Harto was the first Australian Terrier breeder to be given the Vuolasvirta award and he has also been awarded Turunmaa Kennel Association's silver medal, Finnish Kennel Club's pennant and SUKOKA Breeder's Award for being the first person to breed Australian Terriers in Finland. He has judged internationally. He is an Economist, married to Tanya Ahlman-Stockmari who is also a Judge and has a daughter Nora.
