Reminder: November 2014 Referendum Bulletin From Concerned CKC Members

Attention CKC Members - Referendum 2014 Bulletin From Concerned Members

A group of concerned CKC members is asking the CKC membership to very carefully consider two items you will be asked to vote on in the November 2014 Referendum. Please take the time to read this information before you vote.

Section A Proposed Amendment #2 - Breed Standards

Concerned members are asking you to vote YES to Proposed Amendment # 2 in Section A of the Referendum. A Yes vote gives control of breed standards back to the national breed clubs. Currently, the CKC Board has the authority to adopt new breed standards and to amend any standards adopted by the Club.

Section C Proposed Amendments #1—10 - Rules of Eligibility (ROE)

In order to protect all of our breeds, please vote NO to the proposed changes to the Rules Of Eligibility and the 7 Sporting Dog breed standard changes on the referendum ballot. The changes to the 7 breeds that you will find on your referendum ballot is a test, and if any one of them passes, the principle will then be applied to all breeds.
