| Mr. Haddock obtained his first purebred dog in the 1970s and owner-handled the Alaskan Malamute to an
obedience title and conformation championship. In 1989, he acquired his first Portuguese Water Dog that
would become one of the breed’s first to achieve both AKC Breed Championship and Utility Dog titles, and
subsequently co-bred multiple titled dogs. Mr. Haddock’s passion for the preservation of purpose-bred dogs is evident in his interviews and articles, many of which have been published worldwide. He is approved by the AKC to judge the Working and Sporting Groups, multiple Herding breeds, and Best in Show. He has adjudicated domestically at over 700 shows, and internationally in Australia, Brazil, China, Colombia, Finland, Guatemala, India, Ireland, Mexico, Japan, and Korea. President of his first dog club at age 18, Mr. Haddock holds membership in the Santa Barbara Kennel Club, The Royal Kennel Club Ltd., and the Westchester Kennel Club. He is also a member of The Westminster Kennel Club, where he served as a Governor and Chairman of the Club's annual show. Mr. Haddock is a graduate of Washington & Lee University, Columbia University and Westminster Theological Seminary, a lifelong entrepreneur, and a Master Scuba Diver. |
