| It all started with a Basset Hound, a Whippet, and an Ibizan Hound… My first three hounds were the ones who got the ball rolling in 2002 for conformation and 2003 for lure coursing. From that time, I have not stopped competing with my hounds and continue to enjoy my time with them. Curtis and I enjoyed great success throughout the years with our top AKC lure coursing Ibizan Hound "Diesel", FCI-Int’l/Mex/Can Ch, Am GCh DC Orion’s Xxx Of Eden MC LCX5 CGC FCh SGRC SORC. He was #1 in the field 2007, 2008, and 2009 while he also achieved his LCX5 title and multiple Best In Field awards. He was ranked top 10 in the ring for 2009 and 2010. His daughter "Blueberry", Can Ch, Am GCH DC Orion-Ahram Blueberry Wine MC LCX4 FCh, Can FCh, followed in his footsteps by achieving #1 in the field for 2012 and 2013 and multiple Best In Field awards, and his granddaughter "Fleury", Can GCh, Am GChS Ch Orion's Calgary Flame, has excelled in the ring with multiple Best In Specialty Shows awards, multiple group wins, and a Reserve Best In Show. Now, the 4th generation, "Wednesday", GCh Orion's Kalispell On You,finished her championship from the group ring with 4 placements at 8 months old and we are going to have fun with her. On the Whippet side was our "Brooke", Can GCh, Am GChS DC Orion’s The World Is Not Enough MC. She was a multiple group winning,multiple Best In Field winning, twice invited Top 20 Whippet (2011 and 2017). Her genes have lived on throughout the country. I have been judging AKC lure trials since 2010, ASFA lure trials since 2016, and most recently AKC conformation shows since 2021. To date, I am approved/permit to judge 13 hounds and 1 sporting breed, with 5 more hounds in the queue |
