Lyndall's commitment to pedigree dogs began with Miniature Poodles, where she had much success in the Obedience ring both as a competitor and qualified trainer as well as in the show ring with all 3 Poodle varieties. After being given her first Bearded Collie, they became her focus. Along with husband Jim, Lyndall imported Bearded Collies from Canada, England and New Zealand and bred/owned many Champions, All Breed Best in Show and Specialty winners. Lyndall has judged The Bearded Collie Club of Canada National Specialty as well as The Bearded Collie Club of England 'Beardie Spectacular' Open Show. For almost 30 years, Dachshunds (Long Haired ) have been the focus of the of the Briarmist family. Breeding and owning many champions, Grand Champions and Supreme Champions including Australia's Number 1 Dog - All Breeds in 2010 & New Zealand's Number 1 All Breeds 2011 and in 2014/2015 an American Grand Champion and ROMO and DCA Top Standard Long Sire for 2015. Also winning the Dogzonline Australia Show Dog of the Year Dachshund (Long Haired) point score in 2007, 2009 – 2015, 2019, 2022 and leading to date in 2024. Dogs sports has also been a recent passion for Lyndall, with 2 dogs gaining their TKS titles in the last 12 months. Lyndall is an ANKC licensed All Breeds Judge, at Championship level and her judging assignments have taken her to all Australian States, New Zealand, USA, The Philippines, Thailand, South Africa, Canada, Japan, Korea, Sweden, Mexico and the UK. In her business life Lyndall holds a senior position at a Government Not For Profit organisation. |
