||
| I was born into a family who had Border Terriers for generations. This enabled me to grow up watching and living with BTs in the field and at home. My focus is breeding temperamentally and physically sound working dogs bred to the standard. I judge earthdog and NASDA and still work my dogs regularly on live quarry. Over the years, I've served as counsel to the BTCA board, am a member of the Health Committee, the Health and Scholarship Foundation, Juniors Committee, Judges Education Committee, sponsor the annual "Lucy Award", have served on numerous national specialty committees, chief stewarded at multiple nationals and group specialties, was the AKC Gazette Columnist, and am enthusiastically committed to preserving the breed. In my opinion, a BT should have it all – type, with a distinctive otterlike head, coat, pelt, and sound temperament. I am enchanted watching Border Terriers as they move, play, engage with quarry and work in the field. I love judging them. |
