Sioux was born in Southbury, Connecticut, and currently resides in Pinehurst, North Carolina. She is
the only child of the late greats Bob and Jane Forsyth who were world renowned all-breed handlers,
and later international, all-breed judges. Sioux was born the morning after her mother went Best in
Show at the prestigious Westchester Kennel Club. She was destined to be a dog person.
Sioux grew up helping her parents show dogs from a very early age. The "Blue Bird" was always
bustling at the shows in the Northeast during the '60s, '70s and early '80s.
Sioux finished her first champion at the tender age of three, a Japanese Chin. But her first personal
dog was a Pointer given to her by her father at the age of 6. This began her love of the breed that
she carries with her today. She bred her first pointer litter at the age of 9 and has about 25-30
champions to her name, under the Grayarlin prefix.
For over 40 years, Ms. Forsyth-Green has established herself in the dog world and finished many
dogs' championships. She learned the business not only from her parents, but also from many well-known
and respected handlers such as Mark Threlfall, Bonnie Threlfall, Richard Bauer, Paul Edwards
and Peter Green. She has been invited to judge at Westminster, as well as two National specialties.
Sioux Forsyth-Green has juggled life as a professional handler, single mother, wife and business
owner. She is currently working as one of the new up and coming well respected AKC Judges.
