Biography
|
I am the face behind Somersun Labradors in Quincy WA. I have raised Labradors for 20+ years. As a
family we started with obedience and hunt test and then jumped headfirst into the conformation ring. I
got my start in Labradors when after losing my husband's beloved Springer, he stopped at a local breeder and
picked up our first Labrador. Her name was Missy. She is what we call a field Lab; she was poorly bred, but we loved her just the same. With her we got our start doing hunt test and obedience. We joined PSLRA as a family. I had gotten the bug of dog shows. My next two Labrador were bought from Shamrock Acres.
Although Missy was a good start, I needed different bloodlines to start a good foundation, Shamrock Acres
Razzle Dazzle and Shamrock Acres Let It Snow II. Our dog activities were scheduled around my children's
activities. My daughter was my main co-pilot going to show in between my son's baseball and wrestling
schedule. She showed Razzle in Jr. showmanship.
Now I can be seen traveling with two of my granddaughters. They are my little handlers and are making a name for themselves in the labrador ring. Over the years I have bred and raised 19 champions. My goal is to continue in Labradors and progress in the breed. |
