| I've loved all animals my entire life, dogs and horses particularly. My teenage years were spent at
the local barn where I boarded my horse and got to know Labrador Retriever named Buttercup. I knew
then I would have Labradors in my life. I acquired my first Labrador in the late 80's. We competed in AKC obedience and hunt tests, meeting several Labrador breeders along our journey and joined the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association. As you all know, Labradors are like potato chips and you can’t have just one, enter my second Labrador from Nina Mann, Harbortop. In 1990 I whelped my first conformation litter. In the mid 90's I imported three dogs from the Kupros Kennel to integrate into my bloodlines. Labradors have been part of my life for 30 years having bred multiple American and Canadian Champions with one of the most memorable wins was RWD at Potomac 2011, BOS at Westminster 2012 with "MBISS GCHS / Mex CH / Can CH Sunnydaze Running Across The Miles, JH". I’m a life member of The Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Assoc., and member of the LRC, Inc. I have developed an amazing Labrador family as a direct result of being involved with this breed, they are my sisters and brothers, some are my mothers (they know how they are). With or without dogs, many of us are now bonded for life and it can’t get any better than that. I live in Washington state with my husband Hugh, our son Ollie is attending University in Los Angeles California. We currently have 4 Labradors and 2 Maine Coon cats. I am a Registered Nurse with my specialty in Hospice care. I love this work; it is very tough some days but very rewarding on so many levels. |
