Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Edward ( better known as Ted ) Rogerson. I was born and raised in Sunderland in the Northeast of England, where I have lived for most of my life.
Whilst growing up I had various pets, ranging from a crossbred dog, rabbits, pet mice, pigeons and chickens to a racing greyhound. Pat and I met and married in the seventies when we began to breed and race greyhounds at the local tracks in the Northeast.
Ever since she was a little girl Pat always wanted a Cavalier so we made the decision to buy a lovely Blenheim bitch (at the time we thought there was only one colour). That's when we found out that there were other colours and we soon acquired a Ruby and a Tri-Colour. It was at this point we finally gave up the Greyhounds. Still keen to have a Black & Tan, so we contacted Shelia Smith, and took our Ruby girl to Rheinvelt Ringold Von Salador. The result was three pups of which we kept a dog and a bitch. We visited a local show with them both and were advised to show the bitch. We had great fun showing her and later she produced Rabymar Special Edition who had success at Open and Championship shows. By this time we were truly smitten by the show bug. We have continued with these lines and experienced success with the progeny.
I was fortunate to be asked to Judge the breed, which I thoroughly enjoy at all levels. My judging career has taken me to: Norway, Sweden, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Texas and Massachusetts. |
