| I have showed and bred Bulldogs for over forty years under the "Rudyk" prefix, never having had more than three Bulldogs at one time. We never bred a litter unless we wanted a puppy for ourselves, and we strived to breed healthy show quality dogs. We are sorry to say we never really tried to compete in Canada as there wasn't much competition at the time we were showing, so we went south of the border to compete against hundreds of Bulldogs. Our dogs have won many specialty Best In Shows, mainly in Washington and Oregon. As a result, we are proud to say we are the only Canadians in the American Hall of Fame. Win or lose, everyone had a lot of fun and we met many wonderful people, who remain good friends to this day. I have also had the honor of judging the Juvenile Female Sweepstakes classes at the 2023 Bulldog Club of America National Show. |
