| I have been involved in Whippets since the age of 10. I have also bred and owned Pharaoh Hounds for the last 25 years. I currently only own one Whippet, Ch. Mariner Surrey Hill Resting Beach Face "Roxy" with my dear friend Karen Roberson and Roxy's wonderful breeders Kristen Fredericks and Karen Lee. I'd love a dozen more just like her, but I travel every week for work so it just isn’t possible yet. My dogs have taken me all over the world and I consider myself privileged to have had success at some of the world's most prestigious shows, from winning Hound Group placements at Crufts in England with my Pharaoh Hound to Best in Show at Amsterdam Winner over 5000 entries with a beautiful Cavalier. I am also an AKC hound judge and judge a few toy breeds. I spent most of my early career outside of dogs as a board-certified hospice and palliative care practitioner. Over the last decade I have been a partner and executive at a large national US-based healthcare company. I currently lead a clinical team of 4000 physicians and nurse practitioners across 46 states who specialize in bringing care to nearly 1 million patients each year in the comfort and security of wherever they call home. I reside in suburban Philadelphia with my husband Stephen and several dying house plants. |
