There is no higher privilege than to judge the result of the commitment and love that breeders have
devoted to preserving their breed. From the whelping box to the conformation ring, I can personally
appreciate and admire the dedication, the tears and most rewarding, the joy that comes along with
being a responsible breeder.
Boxers have been a part of my life since I was a small child playing with my grandmother's Boxers in
her backyard on our trips to Michigan. Her passion for our breed and the sport of dog shows made a
deep impression on me and as an adult, I finally was able to acquire my own Boxer in 1987. Once
my family was established, with the help of wonderful breed mentors, I whelped my first show dog
in 1995 and revived my family’s kennel name, Amity Hall Boxers. From the beginning, I took great
pleasure in showing my Boxers and the personal achievements that came with being a breeder/owner handler. With limited breeding, I bred 18 American Champions, two American/Canadian Champions, and two American Dams of Merit.
After 22 years of showing and breeding, I became an AKC Judge and I am approved to judge the Working, Herding, and NonSporting Groups. Since becoming a judge, I have been blessed to have judged multiple Specialties, including National and Regional Specialties for several different breeds. I have also judged overseas in South Korea. In 2017, I was honored with being selected as the American Boxer Club Top 20 Breeder Judge and will be judging at the American Boxer Club National in 2025. |
