| Pat hails from America and Mexico and this year is her 53rd years as an approved judge for AKC and her 45th approved for all breeds by the Federacion Canofila Mexicana, the FCI member there. She has judged in Central and South America, Cuba, Sweden, Canada, Germany, India, Australia and New Zealand, and most recently in Korea and Thailand. In 2007 she judged at the World Dog Show. She has been elected to two terms a member of the AKC Board of Directors; and, served as the first female Vice Chair of the Board. She assisted pro handlers at shows in the mid-1960's and was an AKC Executive Field rep, based in Texas, covering shows in the southwest and wherever needed in the US. As a member of the Dog Writers Association of America for nearly 40 years, she was inducted into their Hall of Fame, having written on the sport of dogs for four major, New York newspapers; and, is currently a member of their Board. A member of the Afghan Hound Club of America since 1978, the Knickerbocker Bull Terrier Club, and Heart of the Plains KC, serving as their Delegate to the American Kennel Club; and, held office in several Long Island kennel clubs. She was a labor leader, marketing sales manager for major market radio station; and is a proud mother, mother -in-law, grandmother. |
